Mr Chen Erhu was born in Chen Jiagou, Wenxian, China in 1975. As the 20th-generation direct disciple of Chen- style Taiji Mr Chen is also one of the “Ten Outstanding Taiji Masters”, national first-class Wushu referee and first-class boxing master. He is concurrently the headmaster of Wenxian Taiji and Wushu school and the head coach of Chen Jiagou Taiji Training Center.
Mr Chen was fond of Taiji from childhood and began to learn Chen-style Taiji and series of skills and tricks in Wushu at 8 years old. He is diligent and keeping practicing Taiji for decades as if it were only one day. As the old saying goes, “where there is a will, there is a way”. Now he is good at Taiji art of attack and defense, taiji free-style fistfight and wrestling holds.
Mr Chen began to participate in various Taiji contests in 1994, and has won championships and all-round championships 28 times in different levels. He has been devoting himself to spending Taiji and cultivating Taiji players since he set up the Taiji Training Center in 1997. Until now he has cultivated more than 1,000 Taiji excellent players, and has been invited to give lectures and teach Taiji home and abroad many times in recent years.
